The Villa Park Village Board is expected to consider a proposal Monday night to increase resident responsibility for sidewalk repair to 50 percent of costs.
Residents are expected to contribute $1.25 per square foot of sidewalk replacement. Village President Joyce Daly said that amount was about half the costs when the plan was adopted.
But last year the sidewalk repair program cost the village $2.95 per square foot.
