Occupation: Actor.
Birthday: June 21, 1941.
Birthplace: Pittsburgh.
Current home: Los Angeles.
Marital status: Married for 20 years to Judith Flaherty.
Children: Gudrun, 12, and Gabriel, 7 months.
Working on: Starring on ”Maniac Mansion,” on The Family Channel.
The last good movie I saw was: I liked ”Flatliners,” even though it wasn`t very good.
Favorite performer: I would actually pay to see Luciano Pavarotti.
Prized possession: A picture of Roberto Clemente. He was my favorite ballplayer.
I`d give anything to meet: Chuck Noll, the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He`s a fascinating guy, and he`s got a mystique.
The worst part of my job is: Sustaining a character with a lot of energy. I want to teach my children: How to be good without being taken advantage of.
My fantasy is: To be an opera singer-and I can`t sing.
The worst advice my father ever gave me was: He wanted me to be a plumber.
The one thing I can`t stand is: Crowds.
If I could change one thing about myself, I would be: A high-energy person.
I knew I was a grownup when I: Completed basic training in the Air Force. The best time of my life: My days at Second City in Chicago. I had fun, the pressure wasn`t that great, I performed every night, I was newly married and I worked with a great cast that included John Belushi. I enjoyed going to work.
The worst time of my life: Last year. Financially, it was very bad. I committed to some projects that fell through, and I wound up working a lot less than I`m used to working. And what I did wasn`t satisfying.
If I`ve learned one thing in life, it`s: You have to be prepared for battle every day, not just over the big things but over the little things too. Three words that best describe me: Eccentric, funny and introspective.
