– When: Tuesday.
– Polls: Open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. To learn the location of your polling place call 312-269-7976 if you live in Chicago. In Cook County suburbs, call 312-443-5196; in Lake County, 708-360-6628; and in Will County, 815-740-4616. In addition, Citizens Information Service will provide polling place and other information at 312-939-4636.
– Candidates will be nominated for:
– Chicago mayor, clerk and treasurer; voters take a partisan ballot.
– Also, nonpartisan primaries for mayor in Chicago Heights, Joliet and Zion, with runoff elections April 2.
– In North Chicago, a Democratic primary for aldermanic nominations.
– Candidates will be elected for:
– 50 aldermanic seats in the Chicago City Council; voters take a separate aldermanic ballot. In wards where no candidate wins a majority of the vote, top two vote-getters will face each other in runoffs April 2.
