After reading letter-writer Pauline Herter`s attempt to comfort herself by questioning leather shoes, down-filled jackets and feather pillows, I admit that once I see ”minkburgers” or ”fox steaks” I might feel better seeing people in fur coats. In regard to wool sweaters, she forgot wool comes from a live animal that is allowed to grow another coat.

If she feels better wearing her fur coat in below-zero weather, she should think of the animal that could have kept warm instead. And if people must wear fur coats, at least please don`t wear them to the zoo!
