Much consultation and negotiation has gone into the Indiana Dunes bill that was introduced in the last session of Congress. It was a compromise between Indiana`s senators and a representative in the Dunes area.
Such compromises, recognizing the needs of many involved individuals, ought to be supported. I support it and urge our Illinois legislators to also support it in this session of Congress. It expands protection of several endangered areas in the Indiana Dunes area.
