Lombard Fire Lt. Michael Kalina said residents being solicited by the Illinois Emergency Medical Technician Association ”are being given the wrong impression that any donations to the organization will benefit local emergency medical technicians and paramedics.”

Kalina said the money goes to the Illinois association but is ”in no way connected to the Lombard Fire Department or emergency services in the village.”

Questions about the matter may be directed to the Lombard Fire Department at 620-5700.
