James J. Perry, 74, a retired business executive and civic leader, died Saturday in Lake Forest Hospital. Mr. Perry, a longtime Lake Forest resident, was co-founder and president of Mitchell De-Burring Co., a Chicago-based metal finishing firm. Mr. Perry was chairman of the Lake County Regional Planning Commission from 1979 until 1981. He also served a chairman of the Lake County Sheriff`s Merit Commission. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; and two sons, Patrick and Michael. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 991 S. Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest.
