Your editorial on 13-year-old Bryan Wrzesinski, who bought and then traded a valuable baseball card, struck a chord with me.

As a parent who has tried to instill proper moral values in my children, I find his parents` behavior reprehensible. If he had been my son, the card would have been returned to the shop owner as soon as the clerk`s error was discovered.

To make a deal when all parties are knowledgeable is one thing, but to take advantage of a person`s ignorance is simply unforgiveable.

I have a 10-year-old daughter who, upon receiving too much change from a recent purchase, immediately went back to the clerk and returned the extra money. I feel fortunate that she knows right from wrong. It`s a pity Bryan`s parents can`t say the same.
