addiction to speed” (March 14): Sorry, but speed doesn`t kill, people do.
There is a much more dangerous killer on the roads than speed. It`s called stupidity! What else would you call putting on eye make-up, shaving or reading the newspaper while driving on Chicago`s busy expressways?
I`d much rather drive with someone going 75 m.p.h. and paying attention than someone going 55 m.p.h. and trying to floss their teeth.
