It is an outrage that Chicago Ald. Robert Shaw wants to outlaw adult-rated films to people under 18 because he feels they are ”promoting murder and glamorizing it.”
Our political leaders promoted murder in their decision to wage war on Iraq, and our media are now glamorizing America`s decisive victory. Are we censoring these facts of life for people under 18?
Before we censor fictitious films in the name of providing role models for our youth, shouldn`t we provide these role models in the political system we support and the society in which we live?
