It is difficult to understand how Chicago`s mayor and aldermen have the gall to give themselves a hefty raise when so many are out of work during this recession.
Just what has the mayor done to deserve one? He went to Florida for a vacation after the election and has a weekend home in Michigan. He attends so many dinners and banquets-when does he put in a full day`s work? He should take a cut in salary instead of a raise.
