John von Rhein should go write for the New York Times and Georg Solti should have made the New York Philarmonic famous rather than the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. What a slap in the face for us faithful supporters of our orchestra that Solti`s last and best concert with CSO was performed in New York! Was it purposeful to have the rehearsal here, so New York could have the polished performance?
