Barrington officials have given builders of two new housing developments deadlines to take erosion-control measures or face possible shutdowns.
The Village Board decided Monday to send ultimatums to the builders of the Lakeview and Fairfield developments, located on the east side of the village.
John Heinz, director of public works, said Lakeview has until Wednesday and Fairfield until Friday to begin seeding the land. Lakeview has 79 lots on 37 acres; Fairfield has 14 lots on 10 acres.
