should be published in every ethnic newspaper in the country.
He told it as it really was. To be ”here in America” meant the freedom to work and improve one`s life and prospects. One`s livelihood and one`s future depended on the effort one made to survive. No one told us we were poor so we didn`t know it. My parents felt privileged and blessed to be here.
