Although her own church-the Church of England-doesn`t permit women`s ordination, Queen Elizabeth has chosen a woman as one of her royal chaplains in Scotland. The new chaplain is Rev. Mary Levison, who 30 years ago led the campaign for women`s ordination in the Church of Scotland. The Church of England now is pondering a policy change to open the priesthood to women.
