Computer tampering charges against Leonard Rose, formerly of Naperville, were dropped Wednesday in Du Page County as part of a plea agreement in which Rose was sentenced to a year in prison on similar federal charges in Baltimore.
Rose, most recently of Middletown, Md., pleaded guilty March 22 to the federal charges, which involved the use of an AT&T computer ”source code” he illegally obtained from a former AT&T technical contractor in 1989, according to federal prosecutors.
