Favorite performer: Patti LaBelle`s voice makes me tingle.
Personal heroes: Those who fought for the right to be who you are-Martin Luther King Jr., John Kennedy, Nelson Mandela.

I`d give anything to meet: Jimmy Carter.
If I just had more time, I`d: Complete a lot of my writing projects.
The worst part of being an actor is: Losing your anonymity. People come up to you and say, ”Oh, I just love you; can I have your autograph?” It gets to be a bit of a bother.

The worst time of my life: Coming up. There were five kids in the house, and my mother worked two jobs, so there were no parents home. We were always wondering if we`d eat.
My most humbling experience: When I was a teenager, I wrote a love letter to a girl, and she ripped it up and, in front of all my friends, dropped it into my lunch.
The one thing everybody has tried but me is: Flying to Europe. I never had the money, and now that I have the money, I don`t have the time.
Three words that best describe me: Lovable, huggable and hurried.
