Woodstock officials have voted to allow the division of five vacant tracts, which creates lots for 81 single-family homes and extends commercial development along Illinois Highway 47.

The City Council gave final approval last week to divide plats for two phases of Fox Pointe, a 49-unit residential development on the west side. That plat includes a one-acre park and half-acre floodwater detention pond and provides for the connection of Mary Anne and Dane Streets. Single-family homes are slated for construction also on 32 lots in Winslow Acres south of town and Edgewood subdivision north of town.

The council also gave its approval to Oakwood Terrace, a seven-lot commercial development at the northwest corner of Illinois 47 and U.S. Highway 14. The complex will include the addition of a left-turn lane from 47 to Catalpa Lane. An existing frontage road would be rebuilt.
