There are Recaro, adjust-to-your-body car seats that range from $600 to $1,600; $30 silver- and gold-tone license plate frames; leather steering wheels from $189; and spoiler and side-skirt packages between $2,500 and $3,000.
Who buys at the boutique? Scott Krause, who owns the shop with his brother Larry, said Michael Jordan came to get hubcaps color-coordinated with his white BMW and to get its windows darkened.
The Car Boutique has two locations: 5107 N. Harlem Ave., and 52 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling.
