Win Stracke, 83, songwriter, Chicago television pioneer and a founder of the Old Town School of Folk Music, died Saturday in his home in Evanston. Mr. Stracke, who performed on early TV programs with Studs Terkel and the late Dave Garroway, also had his own children`s shows, ”Animal Playtime” and
”Time for Uncle Win.” Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Pavey and Jane Bradbury; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette. A memorial service for Mr. Stracke will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Old Town School of Folk Music, 909 W. Armitage Ave.
