John T. Foley, 68, a retired Chicago firefighter, died Wednesday in St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights. Mr. Foley, a Glenwood resident for the last three years, had served at the fire station at 118th Street and Avenue O on the Far South Side. He was a past commander of Blue Island VFW post. Mr. Foley is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Karen Barker; two sons, John and David; three sisters; two brothers; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Tews Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Hwy., Homewood. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Kieran Catholic Church, 700 W. 195th St., Chicago Heights.
