Robert ”Yearbo” DePietro, 65, a retired Chicago police officer, died Monday in his home in River Grove. Mr. DePietro, a Chicago native, was a patrol officer for 27 years in the Austin District. He was assigned to the Loretto Hospital beat for 11 years before retiring in 1979. Mr. DePietro is survived by his wife, Rosalie; two sons, Joseph and Robert; and four grandchildren. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 2601 Clinton Ave., River Grove.
