The ginseng root, credited for centuries with being everything from an aphrodisiac to a restorative, has become a no-caffeine substitute for coffee. Researchers at the Korea Ginseng and Tobacco Research Institute in Taejon report that the new ginseng product tastes just like coffee and retains all of the medicinal effects of the aromatic root.

According to a researcher, there is no way to distinguish between the new product and real coffee.

”We developed it by mixing ginseng extracts with processed grains, without any coffee ingredients,”the researcher said.

Giseng is popular internationally mostly in teas
