Harriett Woods, former lieutenant governor of Missouri, assumes the presidency Sunday of the National Women`s Political Caucus on the final day of the organization`s 20th anniversary convention in Washington, D.C. Woods, a Democrat, is president of the Institute for Policy Leadership at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The Caucus conference, which began Thursday, included workshops on campaigning and grassroots lobbying.
