In response to the June 30 letter by Rev. Dr. Timm Peterson in which he stated that the Presbyterian church should have done their ”Biblical homework” before reaching a decision on sexuality in the church, I believe it is Dr. Peterson who should have done his homework.
I do believe that Jesus would not want us to call other human beings
”faggot,” or beat them in the streets. However, Leviticus 18:22 says ”Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable,” and Corinthians 6:9 which states ”Neither the sexually immoral nor Idolators nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders will inherit the kingdom of God.”
It`s just that simple.
