Dave Righetti will leave the San Francisco Giants before Sunday`s game to visit his new triplets in Southern California, and he reported these scoring changes before leaving:

Natalie Paige (2 pounds 10 1/2 ounces) now is Natalie Jean. Nicolette Lee (2 pounds 11 ounces) now is Nicolette Kaye. Wesley David (2 pounds 11 ounces) is himself.

”I think they saw the babies and wanted to name them after some people,” Righetti said.

Righetti`s mother is named Jean. Kaye is short for Kayla, Righetti`s sister-in-law and the surrogate mother of the triplets. Righetti`s wife, Kandice, could not bear children, so her sister, Kayla Campbell, agreed to be implanted with the embryo from Dave`s sperm and Kandice`s egg. The triplets were born Friday after seven months and will remain in an undisclosed Southern California hospital for about a month, Righetti said.

”You`re told that some days it`ll look like they`ll make it, and some days it won`t,” Righetti said. ”We knew that beforehand.”
