Anyone interested in renting a villa in the Caribbean-specifically in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, the half-French, half-Dutch island of St. Martin/St. Maarten or St. Barthelemy (St. Barts)-would do well to get a copy of a Vendome Guide for the island of their choice.
In addition to pictures of rental villas and descriptions of their amenities, Vendome Guides also contain information about the islands-hotels, shopping, restaurants, beaches.
The guides are published by Wimco, West Indies Management Co., which also handles reservations for villa rentals pictured. The company provides other island services, such as car rental, plane and boat charters.
There are three editions of Vendome Guides-St. Martin/St. Maarten, St. Barthelemy and the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. Each copy is $7.50 plus $1.50 for shipping and handling or $3 for first class mail.
For more information and to order a guide, contact Wimco, P.O. Box 1461, Newport, R.I. 02840; 401-849-8012.
