Howard A. Levy, 86, retired vice president of Griffith Laboratories Inc., died Thursday at his home in New London, N.H. Mr. Levy, a native Chicagoan who moved to New Hampshire in 1985, worked at the food spice manufacturing firm on Chicago`s Southwest Side in many capacities before retiring in 1968 as its vice president. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; a daughter, Gail Levy Schaffner; a sister, Loraine Rudoy; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Tuesday in New London.
