Christine Austin, 71, secretary-treasurer of Chicago`s former Naujienos Lithuanian Newspaper and the treasurer of the Lithuanian Alliance of America, died Friday in St. Anthony Hospital, Michigan City, Ind. A resident of Beverly Shores, Mrs. Austin was active for many years in Chicago civic and cultural events, and maintained a home in the city. She is survived by two daughters, Tina Kaiser and Monica Kelley; a son, Charles, and four grandchildren. Mass for Mrs. Austin will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4547 S. Wood St.
