It is always refreshing to read a column by Joan Beck, as she seemingly represents the voice of reason and decency, as opposed to the radical
”feminist” tirades one usually finds in female columnists.
Her column, ”A bill that would give adoptions a welcome boost,” was another gem. Personally knowing several infertile couples and their difficulties adopting children, I believe, along with Joan Beck, that adoption needs a ”face-lift” and a more positive image.
I hope Joan Beck writes letters to her congressmen, since I think they mistakenly believe that radical feminists represent the bulk of American women.
