While your columnist Stephen Chapman and Patricia Vader, president of the Illinois Coalition Against the Death Penalty, were whining about the unfairness of the death penalty, a woman in a small town in Illinois was robbed, beaten, raped, doused with gas-oline, set afire and left for dead by a vicious criminal. A vicious criminal that these people will want set free to hurt other innocent victims.

And these people have the nerve to call those of us who want just punishment for such atrocities barbaric?
