According to a recent editorial from London`s Independent that the Tribune displayed on its Op-Ed page June 28, England`s Queen Elizabeth II has a fortune running into several billions. Last year an assessment of her majesty`s wealth was $8 billion and an article described her as the world`s richest woman.

On July 8 the Tribune published a list of the world`s ten richest individuals as estimated by Forbes magazine. The queen, had she made it, would have placed sixth. The names on the list appear to be of males. Does Forbes have a separate scoring system for females or is the accumulating of wealth an all-male pursuit?
