Doing laundry is boring, no doubt about that. But Reeba Daniel, 14, of Palos Park, put her creative mind to work and invented a combination washer-dryer in which clothes proceed automatically from washer to dryer. For this clever device, Daniel will be honored Sunday in Washington, D.C., as one of 45 regional winners of the 1991 INVENT AMERICA! competition. Daniel says: ”I always figured moving the clothes yourself was a time-wasting task, so I came up with motor-operated sliding doors which open at the end of the washing cycle and let the clothes fall down into the dryer.”
