Robert B. Jarchow, 69, a retired partner in the investment counseling firm of William Blair & Co., died Monday in Bethany Methodist Terrace Nursing Home in Morton Grove. Mr. Jarchow was with William Blair & Co. for 30 years. He also was a village trustee for Northbrook from 1955 to 1963 and later was chairman of the zoning board in Winnetka. He also was a past trustee of North Shore Country Day School. Mr. Jarchow was a graduate of Amherst College and Northwestern University and served in the Navy in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Bruce; two daughters, Carolyn Haggerty and Marjorie Wellington; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Sheil Center at Northwestern University, 2110 N. Sheridan Rd., Evanston.
