The Older Women`s League says it opposes the nomination of Judge Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court because of what it calls his dismal record as chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Lou Glasse, league president, says Thomas failed to show during his EEOC tenure ”that he will protect the rights of women and the rights of older persons, and his actions proved particularly harmful to older women workers.”
