Why doesn`t our government take many of the seized apartment buildings and properties from failed S&Ls and convert them into living quarters for our vast numbers of homeless?
The government will never be able to sell all of them or recoup the money spent; the buildings will continue to deteriorate, while our homeless sleep in the streets. Ultimately, the government will have to deal with the homeless problem. And yes, the government powers that be will probably spend more money to create more buildings for this purpose instead of utilizing what they have on hand. How sad!
