”Thelma and Louise” is cruising into cash in foreign movie theaters, according to Jack Gordon, MGM`s president of international distribution. The Susan Sarandon-Geena Davis film generated $4 million in its first six weeks in Britain, $4.5 million in France since May and more than $1.1 million in Israel. The film will open in Japan Oct. 19, where, Gordon says, the marketing plan will emphasize action-adventure rather than on the women stars.
