The Tribune was quick enough to condemn the actions of those who wished to postpone the vote on Judge Thomas` confirmation (editorial, Oct. 8). The
”crucial facts” are what we think of them-sexual harassment is not just a women`s issue. It affects us all.
Sen. Simpson (R-Wyo.) intimated that the kind of harassment Professor Hill purportedly got-sexual harassment-would be nothing compared to the
”real” harassment she`d get in Washington`s political arena.
It`s this kind of gratuitous remark that makes one wonder about some senators` sense of fairness and justice.
