Michael Handler, 97, died Friday in the Americana-Monticello Health Care Center, Oak Lawn. A longtime resident of Chicago`s Southwest Side, Mr. Handler was a master mechanic and a World War I veteran. He is survived by a daughter, Louise Peters; two sons, George and Richard; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mass was said Monday in Evergreen Park.
