As an employee of a retailer, I have often complimented pretty women customers. None of them were offended. They usually said, ”You`ve made my day.”
Recently I complimented one such lady. My immediate next customer was also a pretty woman and I said, ”This must be pretty woman day.” Her eyes welled up, she clasped my hand and she said, ”You don`t know what that means to me.”
She told me that she had been struck in the face by a golf ball resulting in extensive surgery on her cheek and eye. She felt she was scarred and was very depressed about it. I noticed only a tiny scar and told her it was so small that I had not seen it at first.
I`m glad I complimented her and I will continue to compliment pretty women. I also compliment the less-than-pretty ones. All women have at least one plus.
