Some Democrats vying for Senate seats, including Rep. Barbara Boxer of California and Elizabeth Holtzman, New York City comptroller, are seeking to attract supporters by mentioning the sexual harassment controversy that erupted during Senate hearings on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Boxer`s television ads in California, for example, feature video of the hearings and a voice-over from Boxer. But a spokesman for Geraldine Ferraro, former vice presidential nominee, in New York says there are no plans to mention the hearings in her Senate campaign ads.
