Your car-toonist`s Nov. 20 ”Updated map of Yugoslavia” was a slur against the truth of the Serbians` ruthless, genocidal attacks against poorly armed but morally strong Croatians` struggle for indepen-dence. The Nov. 21 issue ran a Serbian photographer`s propaganda tale: 41 Serbian children slaughtered by Croatians. Then a disclaimer to the falsehood had to run the next day.
A solid clue to the Serbians` mania was the 90-day siege of Vukovar
(where Serbs comprise a large portion of the populace). Their indiscriminate shelling caused equal hardship to Serbians and Croatians. The survivors, crawling out of their root cellars, called it ”madness.”
Now that most of the informed world leaders agree to fault laying with the Serbian general, you could re-issue a correct map of Yugoslavia!
