Kudos on your special Ecology section in the Nov. 17 paper. Rather than just one ”environmental” writer, why not offer a weekly or monthly feature on ecological and environmental issues? Legislation, corporate initiatives, updated consumer information, automotive improvements, wetlands policy, research, foreign laws and global cooperation are just a few of the topics that could appear.
People are hungry for information about what is happening to Earth. The Tribune has tended to bury ”environment” pieces on page 16, in little blurbs (”Ozone hole over Antarctica dramatically larger this year”).
I would be thrilled to see this urgent subject given a regular, accessible format.
