Eva Brucker, 93, a longtime Chicago resident, died Tuesday in Holy Cross Hospital. Born in Yugoslavia, Mrs. Brucker came to Chicago in 1921 with her husband and a daughter. She moved to the Southwest side in 1950 where she lived for the remainder of her life. She worked as a domestic helper until 1946 when she began to take an active role in raising her grandchildren and, later, great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Rose Henry and Catherine Lucaszewski; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Egan Funeral Home, 3700 W. 63rd Street. Mass will be said at noon Saturday at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 6435 S. Kilbourn Ave.
