On the Magic Johnson issue: It seems to me some athletes are not as interested in their health as they are in putting notches in their belts indicating their sexual achievements. Not a good message for our young people. Martina Navratilova is to be commended for her recent observation about the double standard where women and men athletes are concerned.
Is there a lesson to be learned here? I hope so.
