In reference to the Dec. 20 paper, on page 8 of Section 1, I find it very insensitive on the part of the Tribune to print an advertisement whose headline is ”Some Men are Better Than Others” (Hammacher Schlemmer) right next to an article about South African white people`s anxiety about their country`s upcoming political reform that includes a picture of a gang of white youths carrying clubs dancing around an injured black man.
You cannot ignore subliminal messages in advertising and more thought should be put into where ads are placed in the newspaper.
