Frank E. Wood, 88, retired vice president of the sales and engineering departments of Chicago-based Ragnar Benson Inc., died Dec. 27th in his home in Wautoma, Wis. Mr. Wood worked with the nationwide construction and engineering company for more than 20 years. He retired in 1970. After graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Mr. Wood started his career as an architect with Chicago architect Ben Marshall. He worked on the Edgewater Beach Hotel and Apartments project. Before he started working at Ragnar Benson, Mr. Wood was in charge of an architectural section of Montgomery Ward`s nationwide building program. Mr. Wood, formerly of Arlington Heights, is survived by his wife, Vivian; a daughter, Ardelle Jones; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister. Services were held in Wautoma, Wis.
