Marius Pedersen, 84, of Manteno died Thursday in South Suburban Hospital, Hazel Crest. A native of Almstock, Denmark, Mr. Pedersen was the retired owner and operator of Avalon Coal Co. in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Agnete; a son, Stanley; a sister; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, 291 N. Main St., Manteno. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
