Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I have just read a Tribune editorial titled ”College costs go up the down staircase” (Dec. 17). I will be entering college next fall when these tuition hikes will take place.

In my room sits a very large box filled with unsolicited brochures and letters from colleges around the country. Many of these envelopes remain unopened. The box is going in the garbage today because I have finished all of my applications.

Perhaps these schools should learn to be more cost efficient in this area. I already had an idea of where I wanted to attend college, as do most high school seniors.

Colleges should stop wasting money on elaborate brochures and postage. I am interested in an education, not glossy photos.
