In the Dec. 29 Tribune there was a cartoon about weak General Motors car sales that brought about the layoffs of GM workers.
The cartoonist implied that the sales were low due to high prices. Is he trying to tell us that the thousands upon thousands of Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jaguar and BMW autos on the streets and roads of Chicago and suburbs are inexpensive?
